Our Story
Roshain De Mel Music Academy specializes in Western music education for students in grades 6 through 11. We offer comprehensive programs covering both the government syllabus and preparation for international examinations including ABRSM and Trinity College London.
With over 15 years of experience and a 98% exam success rate, we have helped over 800 students develop their musical talents and achieve their academic goals. Our expert coaching focuses on technique, theory, and performance to ensure well-rounded musical development.
We operate from three convenient locations in Kiribathgoda, Battaramulla, and Colombo 05, offering flexible class formats including group classes, individual lessons, and online instruction to meet the diverse needs of our students.

Meet Roshain De Mel
Roshain De Mel is an accomplished musician and educator with over 15 years of experience in teaching Western music. With a strong background in piano and flute, Roshain has performed in numerous concerts and events across Sri Lanka and internationally.
Roshain holds advanced degrees in Music Education and Performance from prestigious institutions. As an examiner for various music examination boards, Roshain brings valuable insights into the examination process, helping students prepare effectively for their music exams.
Passionate about nurturing young talent, Roshain founded the Music Academy to provide quality music education that is accessible to students of all backgrounds. Under Roshain's guidance, the academy has grown to become a leading institution for Western music education in Sri Lanka.
